Sampdoria v AC Milan Preview

AC Milan needs a win to keep pace with Roma and Inter Milan at the top of the table. A loss would probably kill their Scudetto hopes and they would be playing for 2nd. Milan is 10 points above 4th place Palermo and can guarantee Champions League football with a few more wins.

Sampdoria are in 5th place with 54 points and currently in one of the Europa League spot. They are behind 4th place Palermo on goal difference but have won their last two matches. They are unbeatean at home with a 10-6-0 record and only conceded 9 goals.

This match is crucial for AC Milan and they need three points. Can they hand Sampdoria their first loss at home? They certainly are capable but will need some strong performances Ronaldinho, Seedorf, Huntelaar, and Borriello. A loss would likely guarantee that Leonardo is not back for next year.

It should be a very close match that is ultimately decided by one goal. Milan have been inconsistent all season but they should be able to get a close win to keep their Serie A title hopes alive for another week.
