Inter Milan players may be leaving for Chelsea

There are media reports about Inter Milan players, Ivan Perisic, and Marcelo Brozovic might be leaving the club for Chelsea. Indeed, with Antonio Conte believed to be taking control of the London club, many pundits believe that he will be using his knowledge of the Italian league to improve the English side.

Perisic is a Croatian international that make the move to Inter Milan last year from Wolfsburg. Perisic will add some versatility to the current Chelsea’s midfield since he can play on either flank or as a central midfielder. So far he has made 30 appearances for Inter and scored 8 goals for the Italian side. He will definitely add a creative spark to Chelsea, who has lacked flair in some of their attacking moves.

Brozovic is currently on loan from Dinamo Zagreb and would definitely strengthen Chelsea’s midfield. This season he has performed really well in the heart of Inter Milan midfield and will definitely add something to Chelsea’s midfield which currently consists of Matic and Fabregas.

Losing two players of such quality mean that Inter will have to enter the transfer market quite quickly to replace them. One player that may be heading to Inter Milan is Argentine striker Jonathan Calleri who currently plays for the Brazilian club Sao Paulo.

Should Ivan Perisic and Marcelo Brozovic leave for Chelsea, the Argentine will be an attractive replacement given his creativity. However, Inter Milan should expect competition from Tottenham Hotspurs, who are also interested in the striker.

Fellow Argentinian Mauricio Pochettino manages the London club, and this can be a significant factor to convince Jonathan Calleri to sign for the England club.

We will have to wait for the end of the season to get a better idea of how the transfer market will be evolving.
